Should the Threadbuster be cleared for use on Asahi Man/Pauly Walnuts' spam threads?

Absolutely

No. Though this is a downside of 'Freedom of Speech', Pauly_Walnuts should be allowed to spam all he wants.

A Proposal

Postby Noritsujin on 2007-01-18 Thu 18:23:00

Mochee, as you've noted, your board had been suffering from a much-greater-than-usual level of spamming by a specific individual: Asahi Man/Pauly_Walnuts. You've already banned the former alias for violating the no-spamming rules as well as send a warning to his current incarnation. A warning which has fallen on deaf ears, as he has already stated in a recent thread that he has a newly-approved alias waiting to use as soon as you get around to banning him again.

Instead of having to continually ban each incarnation of his as they become revealed through his inevitable idiotic spamming,

I propose that you lift the restrictions on the use of the infamous Threadbuster(TM) for only his threads.

This isn't to say that all of his threads should automatically deserve threadbusting, but certainly his idiotic spam ones do... and those are easy to spot.

How about it? At the same time, let's try getting some feedback from the other denizens of BD.

I still the that Mochee should upload that Firefox Script that someone made, that allows you to place a user on ignore and their threads dont even show up.

That way, if you really care, put him on ignore. Trolls only live because they get fed, after all.

Hyppocrite. Didn't you have a go at me for advocating that Stupid Flanders (a serial stalker and far bigger nutjob than Asahiman) be banned?

See, that is just thing. There is so much partisanship, hatred, etc. There are people who hate my posts, and people who love them. When my Asahi Man handle was banned, I received many PMs of support at my new handle, saying that the banning was unjustified. Some would disagree, but that is exactly my point. Who can fairly arbitrate. For example, I would ban Anpanmans Unko and Uncle Ernie before banning myself. They are real spammers. I actually have things to say.

Love you, Big Daikon.

And that's why I think the script should be uploaded on the server. Self-moderation in a way. If you think someone is a spammer and has nothing of worth to say, you can eseentially eliminate them. If you like waht people have to say, then they wont be banned...seems like a good solution to me.

Once again, proof that you don't actually read a post before commenting on it. If you had, you'd have known that what I was suggesting is that Mochee allow us to use the Threadbuster on Asahi Man/Pauly_Walnuts' spam threads. In fact, I'd even suggested this as an alternative to banning him.

I'll say this much for you, at least you're consistent.

Would it help you kids if I just wrote up an installation guide next week when I have time? Seriously, it won't hurt, I promise.

TheBrand - They make portable editions of FireFox that should work in most corporate environments. Although you might want to check your AUP to make sure using non-approved browsers won't get you fired...

I just wish he’d stop writing ‘Asahi’ in kanji like a total tool.
Stampy has left Bigdaikon. Good riddance, and all that jazz.

boo is the bringer of death and destroyer of worlds. He is sorry to be undemocratic but it is swords, not words, that will be the final judge of pauly_walnuts.

He has left his 9/11 was a big conspiracy thread intact to serve as a warning to all his other threads.

I wasn't aware that Mochee had made a ruling on giving the green light to the Threadbuster(TM) again. If he hasn't, kudos to you anyway for having the stones to attempt a disinfecting of some of Pauly_Numbnuts' forum diarrhea. :)>-
